Abstract
Menadžment je proces ostvarivanja ciljeva aktivnostima drugih ljudi. Cilj menadžmenta se tijekom povijesti mijenjao no u suštini ostaje isti. Danas se menadžment razlikuje od menadžmenta prije 50 godina, pa će se i menadžment u budućnosti razlikovati od današnjeg. Novo doba nosi i nove izazove, kao što je izazov globalizacije koji sa sobom nosi promjenjivu i turbulentnu menadžersku okolinu, koja nije više lokalna već globalna. Menadžerske funkcije se moraju prilagođavati promjenjivoj međunarodnoj okolini pa se razvija interkulturalni menadžment. U budućnosti će se smanjiti značaj pojedinca u organizaciji. Težiti će se ostvarenju organizacije i organizacijskih ciljeva. Konkurencija će biti sve žešća. Menadžer budućnosti će morati biti inovativan, kreativan, sposoban prilagoditi se promjenama, nositi se s različitostima, i upravljati krizom.

Management is a process of achieving objectives with activities of other people. The goal of management was changing during centuries but the core remained the same. Today, management is different than management 50 years ago, and management in the future may be also different from today. The new age brings new challenges, such as the challenge of globalization, which brings a variable and turbulent managerial environment, which is no longer local but global. Functions of management must adapt to the changing international environment and that develops intercultural management. In the future impotrance of an individual will be reduced. Achievement of the organization and organizational goals will be more important. The competition will be more intense. The manager of the future will have to be innovative, creative, able to adapt to changes, to deal with diversity, and to manage crisis.
